Jason Payne

Jason is one of the founding partners of TSG. Jason is responsible for the marketing of TSG and business planning for clients. Jason is an entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word having been a business owner for most of his career. He owned a technology business in Peoria that developed software applications for the transportation and logistics industry before selling it to a public company, and Jason also is a partner in a business advisory company that specializes in the sale of niche businesses to private equity firms.

Scott Pierce

Scott is one of the founding partners of TSG. Scott has more than 20 years of experience in the construction of recreational facilities with a specialty in golf facility construction. Scott coordinates all phases of construction for TSG. Scott has been the project manager of more than 50 projects during his career ranging from private estate projects to championship level golf courses. He has completed projects in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Costa Rica.

Bill Phillips

Bill is one of the founding partners of TSG. Bill is a landscape architect and land planner and directs all design activity performed by the company. He has spent more than 25 years designing recreational facilities for municipal governments, park districts and private clients in the United States, South America and Asia. Bill has spent the past 10+ years designing many championship golf courses throughout the United States, Central America and Asia. Bill and the TSG design and planning staff have worked with many of the top names in the golf industry.

Mike Ryan

Mike is a Project Manager for TSG responsible for client work in golf and athletics. Mike has a 20+ year history in construction with an emphasis on sports fields and golf over the last 10 years. Mike has worked on everything from championship golf courses to professional sports fields during his career. Mike has experience in warm and cool season grasses. Mike has provided construction management in every phase of athletic fields, and in most phases of golf construction. Mike is a good team leader with years of managing crews as large as 25 people.

Mike Taylor

Mike is a Project Manager for TSG specializing in synthetic turf for athletic fields and golf applications. He has worked in the sports surface industry since 2004. Mike has managed installations and maintenance on many fields including at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Mike stays well informed on the ever-evolving synthetic turf products and installation techniques.

Jake Northrup

Jake is responsible for the supply chain, logistics, and assisting in operations and project estimation in both synthetic and natural turf projects. Jake received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and Administration, and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Bradley University in 2015. Before coming on board full time, Jake worked with TSG as an intern, learning the ropes of the natural and synthetic turf industry.

Jerry Snyder

Jerry Snyder

Jerry is a synthetic and natural turf sports field estimator at TSG. Jerry is a graduate of Western Illinois University. Before joining TSG, he was employed in the construction industry for over 30 years. He is experienced as an estimator, field superintendent and project manager on Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Governmental projects.

Angel Haller

Angel is a Senior Staff Accountant for Turf Solutions Group and joined our team in 2019. She came to us with over 30 years of experience in office management and accounting. She earned her accounting degree from Midstate College.

Kristin Roberts

Kristin Roberts

Kristin is the Director of Marketing for TSG. Kristin graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Marketing and has extensive experience in the industry. She is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales for the company. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creativity, Kristin directs the design and development of creative assets and marketing collateral for campaigns and trade shows.

Ben Yount

Ben Yount

Ben is the VP of Sales/Estimating for TSG. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in Construction Management. Ben has extensive knowledge and experience in the sales and construction industries and can help guide you through your next project from start to finish. In addition to Ben’s leadership skills, he also manages and trains the sales team to meet goals and objectives.

Jeff is a Territory Sales Manager for Turf Solutions Group. Jeff is responsible for building relationships with clients, generating leads, and driving sales. He started in sales shortly after he got out of the Air Force in 2002. Before joining TSG, he managed the sales department in the lawn care industry for seven years. Jeff takes the time to understand the customers’ unique needs and goals, and delivers personalized solutions that exceed their expectations.

Chris is a Project Manager for TSG specializing in construction, synthetic turf and golf. With over 17 years of experience, Chris strives to complete each project on time and to the highest standards. He also helps manage the team and ensures that they are working efficiently and safely.

Ben is a Project Manager / Business Development Representative for TSG. Ben identifies new business opportunities and builds strong relationships with clients. With exceptional communication skills, Ben is able to effectively manage multiple projects and exceed client expectations. Ben has over 20 years’ experience in construction management and a background in golf and sports construction.

Carol Armstrong

Carol Armstrong

Carol is a Senior Administrative Assistant and joined our team in 2023. She has over twenty years of experience working alongside executive teams in the capacity of managing office operations and supporting senior managers. Her primary roles are accounts payable, crew accommodations, maintaining filing systems, and document preparation.
