Turf Solution Group’s Architectural Rendering Brings the Golf Development Plan to Life for The Tips Practice Facility of Arkansas.

SPRINGDALE, AR (May 13, 2010) – When the Overture Group was planning The Tips Practice Facility, a proposed high-end golf practice facility that was intended to be built on a 20-acre site abutting Arvest Ballpark, the home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Double A Minor League Baseball team, they needed a partner who could read a business plan and develop an architectural design concept that would support their capitalization process. Turf Solutions Group (TSG) was that partner.

TSG, a golf and athletic field development firm, brings a unique combination of skills to the development process by having in-house both a championship-level golf architect as well as financial modeling and budgeting development expertise. Jason Payne, TSG’s Managing Partner, explained, “After visiting the Springdale site, we researched the existing site conditions, read the business plan and gave them a great design to match that plan. Additionally, we provided budget projections to help them with their financial modeling.”

The proposed Tips Practice Facility plan includes a public-use driving range as well as a members-only area. The driving range has 46 lighted tees allowing for nighttime use, 46 grass tees and 30 covered, heated tees. A members-only clubhouse and golf shop provides a “country club atmosphere” and would include a high-tech golf instruction area staffed with a PGA/LPGA trained instructor, an indoor driving tee and multiple chipping and putting greens with sand traps.

The Overture Group’s Sean Van Gundy explained, “I was searching online for a company who could do what I needed. I found Turf Solutions Group — and they turned out to be a great partner. TSG’s contribution to The Tips business plan remains its centerpiece. The architectural rendering they developed brings our concept to life in a way that words alone can’t. Plus they were able to apply their industry experience to help us make certain our business plan assumptions were realistic.” Van Gundy, a finance professional, expressed his belief that The Tips will still become a reality. “Capitalization has been slower than expected because of the economy, but this is still an excellent investment opportunity. We are continuing to reach out to qualified investors in an effort to position ourselves for the economic recovery.”
